By accessing or using toksum.dev ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

toksum.dev provides an AI API cost calculator that estimates usage costs for large language model APIs including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and others. Pricing data is sourced from publicly available provider documentation and is updated on a best-effort basis.

The cost estimates provided are for informational purposes only. Actual charges from API providers may differ due to pricing changes, rounding, minimum fees, or other factors outside our control.

3. Pricing Data Accuracy

We strive to maintain accurate and up-to-date pricing data. However, LLM provider pricing can change without notice. We display a verified_at timestamp on each pricing entry. You should always verify costs directly with the provider before making business or financial decisions.

4. User Accounts (Pro)

Pro accounts are billed monthly or annually via Polar.sh or Stripe. You may cancel at any time; your access continues until the end of the billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods unless required by law.

5. Prohibited Use

You may not:

Scrape or bulk-download pricing data for redistribution without permission
Use the Service to mislead others about AI provider costs
Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or circumvent any part of the Service
Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws

6. Intellectual Property

The source code for toksum.dev is available under the MIT License on GitHub. Pricing data compilations, editorial content, and the toksum.dev brand are owned by us. You may link to and reference our content with attribution.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT PRICING DATA WILL BE ACCURATE AT ALL TIMES.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING FINANCIAL DECISIONS MADE BASED ON COST ESTIMATES PROVIDED BY THE SERVICE.

9. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
